If there’s one thing we’re known for here in Philly, it’s making history. First time this has happened in nearly a century and the second time ever. All this has me hype for the @MLB#AllStarGame right here in the city!

Due to inclement weather in the region, gates opening will be delayed. If you are not in the area, please do not travel to Philadelphia Stadium at this time. A new gates opening time will be communicated once the weather has passed. If you are near Philadelphia Stadium, please take shelter.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there 💙
Being a father is a true blessing and responsibility. Grateful to stand alongside so many who show up, lead with love, and make sacrifices every day. Our children are our greatest purpose.
…silence the stories of black & enslaved people in this country. When our federal officials sit down & squash our history, Philly stands up to amplify it.
We’ll continue to share the story of enslaved people in America. Not just on Juneteenth, but all day, every day, all year.

We wrapped up our final day of Staff Retreat with our friends at the @PHLVisitorCntr volunteering for the Block Party Bonanza Volunteer Day!
We spent the afternoon packing block party boxes, organizing supplies, and helping prepare materials that will be distributed to neighborhoods across Philadelphia as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration.
Shoutout to my colleagues @marksquilla@DriscollForPHL@CMThomasPHL@CouncilmemberJG@cmninaahmad
and their teams who joined us as well!

Thank you @CouncilmemberKJ for recognizing me and my colleagues this Father’s Day. We appreciate your leadership and support no matter the office, being a father is always our most important role.
Yesterday, Team Thomas headed to the Northeast, going door-to-door to check in with constituents & hear directly how they’re doing. While the work in our City Hall office always has meaning, nothing replaces being face-to-face with the communities that make Philadelphia home.
Tonight, the city lights up purple and blue in support of pediatric brain cancer and the Elora J. Khan Foundation honoring Elora and every child fighting. 💜💙
New way finding and signage is being rolled out by @ccdphila and @visitphilly as thousands of travelers are visiting our city for the World Cup, All Star Game and Philly 250.
Tourists and residents alike will benefit from this during the summer and well beyond then👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

My staff had a great time connecting with folks at @VicinityEnergy’s Community Appreciation Day yesterday in Gray’s Ferry! Community members enjoyed live music, face painting, and local food vendors. Thanks for coming out and thanks to Vicinity for having us.
PHILLY WORLD CUP NEWS THIS MORNING:
Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and Governor Shapiro’s office have teamed up to deliver 700 World Cup match tickets to community members and non-profit organizations across Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania
Another piece of good work by Philadelphia Soccer 2026, the Word Cup host committee here in Philly - free trains home from matches, free and daily Fan Fest, extended public transportation service, and now free tickets to members of the community who may not have had an opportunity to attend otherwise
