A sheriff’s deputy (and a good friend of mine) was shot and killed in the line of duty today. The suspect was killed hours later after firing at more officers. Crappy day all around.

Three pipe bombs out of little ole Hillsdale County in a month in three separate incidents. Yet no major media attention on this story involving dope, stolen guns, and explosives…

@ExtremeMichigan @SheriffLeaf While I agree the police shouldn’t have these vehicles, there is not a tank pictured. A tank has a mounted 105mm canon. The vehicle on the left is an old school armored personnel carrier. In the middle is an MRAP which we traveled in overseas in combat. And the last is unarmored.

@MSPFirstDist PWID meth, possession of cocaine, possession of a shotgun, felony firearm and possession of explosives. Great work Troopers!

Strangest story of the year: “Hillsdale man, waking pet goat, charged with possessing meth.”

Poor goat.

I can honestly say I’m ready for another week of work now after such a relaxing day in South Haven! We’re hitting up Ludington at the end of the month for a three day weekend to celebrate the end of another school year.

[Corey Murray @cmurrayHDN]

We took the kids to South Haven and hit the beach to beat the heat. Awesome little day trip to recharge the batteries and spend some quality time with those who matter most.

Flat tire trying to make it back home for a meeting from the courthouse in town. Down for two hours. Third time in two years picking up nails in my tires!

The best part about being an adult is getting ice cream whenever you want and nobody can stop you. This is what I went to war for. Defending the American way of life.

These are my people. Veterans are an entirely different breed of mankind. We live by our own ethos and standards. And we never forget our fallen brothers and sisters. #MemorialDay2023 #americanlegion
