@PrincipalPaine I tell my students that I can do magic. When we count and add sticks for the days we’ve been in school, I perform a “magic” trick as we regroup and move the 1’s to the 10’s house. They laugh hysterically every time so I’ve kept doing it (next time day 80)

@PrincipalPaine I like to get into whatever I’m asking my students to do, too: lying on the floor with them during “read around the room”, exercising while we count or sing addition songs, or dancing and singing our sight words. #kmechat

@PrincipalPaine I use my journal writing and pictures to share things with my class that I am passionate about. Our class has many opportunities to “turn and talk” and I use a student to model the stem questions; as I learn what they are passionate about, I am able to share as well. #kmechat
