It’s been 1 week since we received 8KG of mussels from @HeroesFish & @OffshoreShell. Secondary pupils @CastleNewnham were treated to a taste of Moules-frites, cooked by our Y10 Hospitality & Catering pupils.

What a fab morning year 10 had with @jellyhead70 at MK college for a year 12 experience day @ThebrasserieMK . We learnt how to prepare salmon and plaice turning them into goujons and fishcakes! Thank you for teaching us and welcoming us to your department! @CastleNewnham

Year 9 had a very important assembly yesterday from @BedsFire about the dangers of swimming in open water & what to do in an emergency.

Our favourite lesson is over again for another year! Year 10 portion up a whole chicken, boil the carcass to make stock, bake the wings and drumsticks, freeze the breast and thighs and make seasoned rice with the stock- all in 2 hours!
