@MRileyGolf At the range you don’t typically have to assess lies or have slopes to deal with. On the course you don’t really get to work on technique and learning how the body needs to move to make the swing repeatable. Then you have to factor in course management skills.

@MRileyGolf My opinion: the path and close face are independent. Look for why you are closing face on backswing. You could just as easily open the face on the backswing. Your old pattern of being way across probably needed correction which you have been working on.

@LouStagner It defines a far target as a point along the path.  Would looking  at a spot 4 inches in front of the ball be a far target?  My curiosity would expand this farther to how far down the path might work better.  Is slightly ahead of the ball better than a spot at hole distance?

@GolfSpyT @kustoo To simplify, BOA technology is starting to get there but still hasn’t quite passed laces for those that want a more personalized fit. If you are a just tie your shoe and go kind of a person BOA is equal but may be more convenient
