Over 1200 CBB players have entered the portal in 2 days. 41 coaches have either been fired or chose to pursue another job. Buyouts for coaches leaving BUT over 1200 players leave with zero payback for free tuition, food, housing, travel , clothing, recruiting visit , massage, nutritionist , per diem on road trips, shoes, gear, mental and physical health care …and pay for play $$$ they received.

Tired of the narrative that the portal is the same as coaches changing jobs. That's a false equivalency. Coaches do change jobs, but they pay a penalty. The portal has no penalty. Maybe allow one free transfer, but have them sit out after that, unless there's a coaching change?

@JayBilas Coaches have contracts. They can also be fired for poor performance at any time. Coaching is also their career. Players play college basketball for 1-4 years then go do something else and are technically students of a school. It's not the same.
