ICYMI, private school ⚾️ teams are 282-118 (70.5% win rate) against public school teams during tournament play over the last 3 seasons. They also have won 58.3% of the championships – including all 4 this spring – despite making up only 11% of the participants.
Compare that to girls ⚽️, where private schools are 214-56 (79.3%) against public schools during the last 3 tournaments. They've also won 77.8% of the possible state titles despite making up less than 15% of the field.
The data suggests a huge advantage for private schools and a need for the MHSAA to consider competitive balance plans...IMMEDIATELY!

@williamstonbase ‘28 Ian Gillespie threw multiple innings tonight for Varsity’s win against Marshall. Showing good movement and throwing multiple spinners for strikes. Likely Williamston’s ace next year

Williamston Vs Midland Dow tonight should be an absolute showcase of high level high school baseball in the state of Michigan.
Williamston may have the top offense in the state. Top to bottom just a group that puts the ball in play with continuous hard barrels
Williamston returns nearly everyone from a 31-win team, including six four-year varsity players.
The Hornets are 15 miles from McLane Stadium and plan on making the trip this June 👀
