@toe431 I created an end zone where Ss start behind, on go they race to the cone & knock the lax ball off & return to the end zone to pass the ball @ the target. Ss not allowed to use hands/feet when scooping the ball. 1st to hit the ball off wins. #wingit
When bad weather approaches, esp as a PE teacher, you learn to pivot & make things work! With larger numbers in the gym we tried 2 hockey games at the same, playing diagonally. Ea game had a different color ball - spacial awareness and critical thinking at it’s finest!
When your co-teacher is out & teachers are covering on their plan, you find a way to squeeze 10 skill stations in the gym for both units to keep on track - 🏒 & 🥎 no problem! A great day to remind them about spacial awareness and equipment safety! #tired!
Info board for our incoming students next yr, pair with 4 stations to play around a bit {free throws, omni/vb, soccer pk, football targets} - loved getting a preview of what’s to come.
Never afraid to try something new! This is the 1st school that still has climbing ropes and I’m testing them out this week with fitness stations. Pls give me tips if you’ve taught this, I’m working on my posters & want to make sure I’ve thought about all skill and safety issues.
@JohnJonesPE I modified the rainbow run for Thanksgiving 🦃 and it was a success! Ss used the color to answer “I’m thankful for…” categories for each color/turkey feather and decoy cones had turkey themed jokes! #gottakeepmixingitup 💛🤎🧡
10th yr as a middle school PE Tt and the 1st time I’ve used scooters!! Ss had a blast doing relays, the principal joined in the fun, & I learned strings and wheels do not get along! #LoveWhatYouDo
Free finds make for a great day, def adding more to have more options! TY TriStar PE on TPT for this fun activity to cap off the end of our relationship lesson - great way to show some conversations are easy & others not so much! #GreatDayinPE

My favorite part of drumming is when they all find the beat! And today was our first time doing it! It’s my 3rd school I’ve introduced this and I love how much fun they end up having, it makes me laugh every time they leave class and say, “That was actually fun!”
