In the near future I’ll accomplish something great in either the speaking, writing, or coaching ranks. Many will assume it happened fast, or he’s so lucky, or it must be nice - not knowing of the pain, misery, defeat & rejection! Hopefully it will benefit others going thru it! ✊🏾
We love you Mike 💔
Mike Detillier dies after brief battle with cancer, revered as respected college & pro football analyst for 40+ years on WWL https://t.co/J5qEt038St
Still processing this and will be for a while. Very difficult to put into words. I’d only really gotten to know Mike well over the past 5 years, but one of the most genuinely kind and caring people I’ve gotten to spend time with.
RIP man, you’ll be missed

Going to miss you my friend. 💔 @MikeDetillier the sports world just lost a giant. Thank you for championing women in sports media and for making everyone feel so welcome and part of the @WWLAMFM family. 🙏🏽 praying for Mike’s friends and family. It just doesn’t seem real.
This is really difficult. Did countless radio hits with Mike over the years. One just a few weeks ago. I was looking forward to the next one to talk ball with him. He was always so kind to everyone, always smiling, quick to laugh. Football won’t be the same without him this season. We will miss you, Mike. RIP 🙏🏾
