@BobbySkinner_ Why aren’t the Giants looking at Alec Halaby for GM? It’s an obvious no brainer and I never hear the name floated around. He is essentially the number 2 guy at the best front office in the NFL + getting him takes away from a rival.
Put this out into the ether so it gets legs.
@bill2car@benlikessport CeeDee & Nico averaged the same 17.6 PPG in PPR format last year; Nico just missed some time
Pitts is TE11 through 2 weeks. Can easily be bullish on him with Penix now
The idea that you would consider vetoing this trade is concerning. Let people take risks. They aren’t infants
@NYG_Matt@J0nesToChina 100% agree. Was at least a watchable game. Though, to answer the original post, the gut punch of losing such a close one feels probably like the “worst” loss, in that sense, since maybe 2017 Eagles loss where they walked us off with a 61-yard FG
@awthentik It never made sense why he lost the job. He looked really promising as a rookie and then the Walker signing + the eye injury derailed what looked to be a promising career
I still have hope but seems like the staff is over him
@BigBlueGoonie This is because we signed a guy who fit what Wink wanted to do and then got rid of Wink. Same goes for drafting Banks.
We need a more competent GM who selects guys that him & his scouts want; ignore the revolving door of coordinators until they prove they can stay long term
@Griffter10@KSIXI Let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water. Dex is the best interior DL in the NFL today - there are many guys on the roster who we should be worried about after yesterday. Dex is not one of them.
He gets doubled often and the Commanders’ offense plays on the outsides
@SavageSports_ This play was so clearly in bounds. Since the defender didn’t take his shot, pulled up a bit, and got trucked, it’s 110% on the defender
Understand your point, which explains why the defender (probably) pulls up before the hit, but you gotta know where you are on the field
@the_P_God Not here to comment on anything policy-wise, but I feel like I’d be ecstatic if I was in the shape he’s in when I’m his age.
Go at his policies or even credentials (although I’m not a fan of appeals to authority) - but the guy definitely appears healthier than most his age
@hworth84@maxtoscano1@mikerenner_ I don’t think “much safer” is right but agree that people were saying if TL declared, teams would have to make a hard decision
That said, I also don’t understand why TL isn’t the most recent “generational prospect”
#1 in HS, elite in college, and was viewed as near-perfect
@SgtSchulzED@maxtoscano1@mikerenner_ Can’t think of who else was an option at 1 unless teams were willing to trade up for Chase Young
Burrow is over 6’3 and was 23 years old coming out? Do you mean hand size?
Not trying to be argumentative; just making my case. I think he was ‘generational’ (whatever that means)
@2flyyJJ@maxtoscano1@mikerenner_ This is definitely fair. He was more of a one-and-done. Probably the only legitimate criticism
But after that one season I can’t think of anyone who didn’t know he was going 1 overall
I do remember pretty hefty debates about RG3 and Luck
Maybe my memory is selective
@maxtoscano1@mikerenner_ Why aren’t you guys including Burrow for QB?
This is a genuine question. I can’t recall anyone thinking anything about him other than that he would be great
He came off the greatest season we’d seen in over a decade and looked like he had an NFL-caliber pocket presence and arm
