It’s early mornings, long weekends, tough lessons, shared laughs, and learning how to fight for the guy next to you.

This is what brotherhood looks like. A group of young men growing together on and off the field. ⚾️

Change the thought process when the game is on the line from “what happens if I fail?” To “what do I know right now?”

1. I know I’ve trained for this moment
2. I know that I’ve prepared for this moment mentally
3. I know that I’m alive; I’m breathing and I’m in the moment.

Youth players, champions don’t need to be asked to do extra work; they simply do it. They comprehend that excellence goes beyond the minimum requirements. The more you’re willing to invest, the more you’ll reap the rewards.

Young players: the game speeds up if you don’t think before the pitch.

I.O.U.
I = Infield (where’s the play?)
O = Outfield (where’s the play?)
U = You (where are YOU going with it?)

Perfect example of SS thinking pre-pitch here and makes the 6-3 double play to end the inning!

If you’re aiming to elevate your game, don’t treat practice as just another chore. Instead, concentrate on refining each repetition. Elite teams don’t perceive practice as a mandatory task; they view it as an opportunity to engage and excel!

When I’m coaching a defense, I always emphasize the 3 B’s: Ball, Base, and Backup.

This SS made a fantastic play that perfectly illustrates these principles, turning an aggressive runner into a double play.
