@chris_dreigon@Reds Yea I don’t think this is an “injury just fatigue. Dude didn’t for nearly 2 years. He was gonna have some fatigue at some point. Also guessing this means Lodolo will be back to start when Williamson was due to start again.
@Landon_Belote Not a need anymore but man… Dex, Johnathan Allen, BJ, McDonald… that’s some serious power in the middle. Everyone behind them would play better immediately.
And you’d have the young guys for depth if someone gets banged up. Weakest part of the D would become it’s strength.
@popmofo@AndrewBrandt Nope but they used the money they didn’t spend on Trey to get 3 other players on defense in Mafe, Cook and Allen. Then worked this deal to get an elite player at his position. The combination of 4 may have made this defense dramatically better however.
As for the “ did he say we?” crowd -
1. I played 168 games as a bengal.
2. 3 division titles
3. 5 straight playoff appearances- 6 total
4. Had all four of my kids in the Nati
5. Been to jeff Rubys a 1000 times
6. Pretended to like skyline chili when sober
7. Stumbled drunk around Mt Adams eating pizza
8. Montgomery Inn bbq in my fridge right now
9. Spent many a night in the Courtyard Covington.
10. Sat in a reds suite with Neil Armstrong
11. Watched Amy Grant with the CPO at Cincinnati Music Hall
12. Partied with Nick Lachey in “Club Bang”on 4th street
13. Ate the “Beluga” sushi boat on the reg in Hyde park Square
14. Sat w/charlie sheen as he smoked a cig in the Queen City club.
And the List goes on..
So I’ll use “We” respectfully any damn time I want. 🤣
Who dey! 💪🏼
@WhoDey2026@wedey97@pauldehnerjr@willielutz_ I hope to see a veteran LB join them as well, would help. But the best way to improve the play of young linebackers that struggled is to put two pro-bowl interior players in front of them. So it’s a big improvement in that regard.
@ESisson7@AdamSchefter@WinSportsGroup How is improving the defense not a win for Burrow? They were losing games they scored 30+ points in with regularity. The Bengals have improved their defensive roster considerably this offseason. They still have to go out and play way better but they attacked their weakest point.
@SeaBassCarter@Realhogtruman@CBoxSports This exactly. Sal has him blocked forever at First. And would be a third option behind Steer or Lowe to play first to give Sal a break.
He’s bad at third. So yea no where to play. But yea he seemed so promising when he first was up, but regressed massively. Tough call.
@Realhogtruman@CBoxSports Trevino is injured and going to IL. So they had to promote a catcher not on the 40 Man roster to have a backup catcher. Which means they had to DFA (release basically) someone from the 40 Man to
make space, they chose CES.
@ColeTrickle2211@Nati_Sports The double steal call won this game tonight though! It set up the two tying runs.
They also seem to be stealing a little more the last couple games.
@EddieGo71824428@CinCity808 I mean it doesn’t have to mean admitting they missed. They play a 4-3 base. You need a 3rd anyways…
But your right it makes to much sense lol. And I don’t think they even pay attention to what the fans think either.
@Honcho_WhoDey You aren’t wrong. Both would be much improved if the dudes in front of them are letting them get caught in the wash most downs. Both of them can run. But Jalen Carter blowing up lineman and drawing doubles would really let them react and run. But they gotta learn to tackle lol
@theblockspot Or maybe there just isn’t 32 guys at any given time that are good enough to play the game at the level it takes in the NFL to be truly successful. It’s been like that in pro football forever. There’s always teams with bad QBs, every year in its history. It’s always come and go.
