As we celebrate Independence Day and thank God for the freedoms and blessings we enjoy, BillyGrahams message remains as relevant as ever: America’s deepest need is a humble dependence on God.
As the United States of America marks the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, we have much to be grateful for—but also much to reflect upon. Billy Graham challenged Americans to examine the “stitches” of sin and brokenness that still exist in our nation and reminded us of God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
This Fourth of July, as we celebrate God’s faithfulness to our country, may we thank Him for His goodness, seek His forgiveness, and pray for His continued guidance, wisdom and favor for America.
Happy Father’s Day! I thank God for my father @BillyGraham and the example he set. He once said, “I am convinced that the greatest act of love we can ever perform for people is to tell them about God’s love for them in Christ.” There’s nothing more important that we can teach our children.
“Jesus has opened the way to Heaven for us, by His death and resurrection. Because Jesus rose from the dead, death has been defeated and Heaven awaits us. Hallelujah!” —Billy Graham
“The cross of Jesus Christ was the culmination of the one life that held more suffering than any other in human history. His was the suffering of the entire world. … Since the day of crucifixion, the cross has been the supreme symbol of salvation from sin.” —Billy Graham
When Christ rose from that grave, He overcame the power of death for every single one of us. Because of Him, we get to spend eternity in the presence of God—eternally living—if we simply put our faith and trust in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Death has no hold on those who belong to Him.
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57 NLT).

On that first Good Friday, Jesus did what we could never do for ourselves. What looked like defeat became the way of salvation as He gave His life so that we could be forgiven and have the hope of eternity through Him.
"We have the assurance that in the storms of life, Jesus Himself will be standing with us. He is waiting to share our sorrows and to renew our courage. We are not alone, my friends. We never shall be. He is there all the time; all we need to do is open the door to Him." —Billy Graham
My Dad's 100th Birthday, 3/18/1926. A special Bible verse for a humble Christian man. He is celebrating in Heaven! Thank you for leading me to Jesus!
I love you!
Well, I'm out of retirement. Riding shotgun for Coach King again, I was his soccer assistant coach for 11 years at BHS and am now helping him at SW Christian HS.
I am blessed to be on another mission trip for Jesus Christ!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) #Alaska
