@JourdanRodrigue I’m curious if this will spark some other big trades from teams that are currently contenders. Like, if I’m a team like KC who knows that the current core is operating on borrowed time, do I start spending future assets to position myself to be able to combat that?
@DynastyZack I think there’s probably more dynasty value in Ayo, Bech, and the 2027 2nd for sure, but the context of win-now vs. rebuild is what makes this deal worthwhile for both parties. Win-now players are almost always overpaid for.
@Panthers24_7@danorlovsky7 This is key. Whoever is doing the game plan and making the call sheet needs to call the game. End of story. HC has precedence to make the call on critical downs if he believes firmly on something. If Canales is doing his job as the HC, then giving play calling over is logical.
@VinnysCorner1 Martysaurus Rex was that dude. Was easily one of the best #2 TEs in the NFL behind Witten at the beginning of his career and then was a rock solid starter the rest of his career. And now he’s an author and has a TV show on Nick Jr. based on his books.
@NFLFrascella Worthy and Golden still have time to develop into their team’s #1 options. Especially with Green Bay cleaning up their WR room and KC getting Bienemy back in the building as OC, I wouldn’t be shocked if either develops into top options.
@Bland26Takes As others have said, GP is being anointed too quickly. Personally, I would still put him down at 5 below CeeDee, then Tyler Smith, and Big Q. I also think there’s probably 5-10 more guys who could be in the 6-10 range instead of who’s there
@OskarBakweSZN If we’re being real, removing the W/L and Super Bowl win factors, the coaches who seem to be elevating their talent the best are Schotty and Quinn. Harbaugh over Sirianni remains to be seen. He’s definitely better for PR but is also overly conservative as a coach.
@OskarBakweSZN In addition to the accidental TE snafu with WSH and NYG, I would still put Sirianni above everyone but Harbaugh if Harbaugh is gonna be #1. Can’t give one the benefit of the doubt for longevity and a Super Bowl win when he had excellent GMs and then knock Sirianni for it.
@big_whoadie@maxtoscano1 Could be - but I’ll believe it when I see it. Usually, character concerns that are significant enough to force you to be undrafted when you’re a Top 100 talent are legitimate, and he has that reputation going in.
@maxtoscano1 Ferg when he was completely healthy and at his peak was better IMO, but I wish Spann-Ford would get a real opportunity, because I think he could be the second coming of Martellus Bennett
@FootsDaKing Got you a CB and DT (Overton). Functionally went LB in the 5th, and for better or worse they’re committed to Ferg with Schoon and Spann-Ford in support.
