Life just isn’t fair sometimes. You had so much more life to live but the life you lived was one that touched so many people.
I promise you. As long as I’m at Hoffman and even after I’m gone, I will do everything to honor your name and legacy! I love you, Scooter!#ForeverFamily
Eric Saubert has learned more from failure than he has from success because of the self-accountability he learned to take in a film session with Tom Brady.
The most impactful lessons can sometimes come from the least expected moments!

Cooper Kupp on Eric Saubert, who had two catches this season coming into the game, getting the game-winning 2-point conversion: You do the right thing long enough, good things are going to happen to you… I’m so pumped for him.”

Co-ops: The good, the bad, the what needs to be enhanced and improved.
If you have thoughts, as many have, drop a comment or my DMs are open.
We are going to be digging deep into co-op good/bad/improvement data - especially in girls lacrosse - because there truly are great reasons to have co-ops and then there is success that drives adult egos around co-ops. #IHSA
It’s time to have a conversation about “co-ops” in #IHSA sports.
Actually, it’s time to have some honest conversations - especially in girls lacrosse.
Stick with me here for a second…11,723 (5 years), 8,792 (4 years), 7,503 (19 years), 5,403 (14 years), 4,550 (8 years), 5,536 (6 years), 6,353 (8 years) and 6,610 (10 years).
The first number is the combined enrollment number of the co-op. The second number is the number of total years these programs have combined schools to have a co-op team.
#DYK: The combined average enrollment number of the 16 co-ops in girls lacrosse - made up of 46 schools - is 5,619 eligible students. Co-ops teams - on average - are more than TWICE the size of the average school competing in girls lacrosse.
We’re going to get into this a little more in the coming days, because to be fair you have to truly look at the full scope of why schools have to co-op to start with.
The goal is provide opportunities for kids and grow the sport.
But have some adults lost focus on those goals vs building dominate programs?
This kid got robbed of his senior year do to injury week 1. Would’ve been one of the best two way kids in the state. 3 year - 2 way starter. Has all the intangibles to be a GREAT college player!
Jim Sullivan is an IBCA HOF Career Coach. His distinguished career lasted over 30 years with coaching stops at Schaumburg & Hoffman Estates as an asst. coach. From 1990-98, Jim was the varsity coach at Maine West & a highlight was a 4th place finish in the 1998 Class AA Tourney.
You shouldn’t be shocked because no coach or athlete you work with at @HEHSHawks day in and day out is shocked!
What this man has done and had to do since Covid has been nothing short of amazing (before Covid as well)
We are extremely lucky, spoiled, & fortunate to have you!
