Everyone wants to run hitting sessions and call pitches in year 1.

Crawl - Walk - Run. Not bc you have to “pay your dues” - but you literally need to learn how to do everything if you want to coach. Running a program or being a full time assistant means you have to be able to wear so many hats. And the super corny, albeit very true “if you’re too big for the small things, you’re too small for the big things” runs true for 99.9% of head coaches (don’t check my math 🤣)

Food for thought: Undergraduate/Graduate managers and young support staff: the "small" tasks, like food runs and post-practice meals pickups aren't just errands. They're opportunities to show you're dependable. Bigger responsibilities start there. #SERVE
