🚨TRANSFER PORTAL ATHLETES🚨

If you post that you’re entering the portal and hear crickets… that’s not a great sign. (Even though coaches can’t contact you directly until June 8.)

Right now, college coaches are following portal athletes and reaching out to travel ball coaches if they’re interested.

But interest does NOT equal an offer. Coaches may be tracking 40+ portal athletes at your position. Keep your options open.

And honestly — the schools reaching out to you are probably the level you can realistically play at. Most athletes want high-level DI, but college coaches decide who fits their level… not the athlete.

Lastly: nearly 50% of transfer portal softball athletes never play college softball again.

Remember that before telling coaches, “No thanks.”
