Youngest FBS head coach in the nation: According to @PeteThamel of ESPN & Other Inside Sources, Utah State has informed the football team that coach Blake Anderson is on administrative leave and unlikely to return. Defensive coordinator Nate Dreiling has been named interim head coach. Dreiling, who is just 33 years old, is in his first season at FBS Utah State after being the highly successful Defensive Coordinator at New Mexico State. The former 4x Pitt State All-American LB played high school football at Hutchinson under his father, legendary HC Randy Dreiling. It is the first college head coaching job for the Victoria/Hutchinson, Kansas native. Dreiling pictured below during his senior year at Pittsburg State in 2013, he helped the Gorillas to the 2011 D2 National Title. You never know where you may end up, Dreiling was a FCS assistant coach three years ago at SEMO and four years ago he was a D2 assistant at Pittsburg State. Dreiling was a HS coach 10 years ago at Humboldt HS in Southeast Kansas. Now he’s a head coach at an FBS program: #sportsinkansas photo: Pitt State Athletics
