Incredibly proud of the Lady Danes Jr High Girls, despite losing 35-31 to County Line in the 1st AAA conference game in Haas Hall Academy Rogers history. The girls led early and left it all on the court. We fell short on the scoreboard, but I’m loving how hard the girls competed!
Been searching for the right time to blast this out: Sadly, we won’t have enough girls at HHA Rogers this year for HS hoops. A tough reality in these crazy times. Continuing the program-build, though, with a fun, dedicated Jr. High group. Working hard today down at Lake Atalanta!
As coaches in this tumultuous time, we are in such a unique, sobering position. We must do more than talk the right talk. As I urged my girls today, let us walk the right walk. Let us be the change the world needs & push for a world filled with equality, love, respect & justice.
I have been challenged by @CoachRogers_. You have 24 hours to respond, or (and?) you donate $20 to local charity. Then, nominate four coaches. You have to post a pic (or four?) of you coaching. Great memories! I nominate @coachsjeffrey, @ScottMoore23, @Oakdale_GBB & @vaught_cody
Eden Stobaugh had a career-high 28 points tonight. Emma Whitaker added 19. Beyond excited we bring everyone back for next season — no seniors this year! The 🏀 future is bright at Haas Hall Rogers! Also want to praise Coach Sagely & Thaden’s girls on their great effort tonight 👍🏼
I feel like I can’t contain the pride I feel about what these girls have done for themselves, their school and especially their teammates. Lady Danes persevered to storm back and beat Thaden 59-46 tonight! Finished our inaugural season w/ a 20-1 run in the 4th, and a 10-8 record.
Special thanks to Ozark Catholic for giving some of us a sneak preview of what conference tournament time will be all about next year! Eden Stobaugh scored 22 to lead the Lady Danes tonight. Championship Game on Thursday night!
Eden Stobaugh led us in scoring again tonight with 17 points. She’s on a tear. Oh, and we also finished the last minute of OT tonight Hoosiers-style — with the four girls who hadn’t fouled out. I did make sure to tell the refs, “My team’s on the floor.”
Could not possibly be prouder of a group of girls after a loss. Trailed Ozark Catholic 15-2 after a quarter, grinded back to a late lead, yet lost 41-40 at the buzzer in OT. This team is growing so much it’s incredible & the Lady Danes’ faces after showed how deep a family we are
Such a fun night tonight for the Haas Hall Rogers Lady Danes! The girls capped a four-game-in-six-day stretch with a 51-40 win at Thaden School. Eden Stobaugh had a season-best 22 points and Emma Whitaker had 15 to lead us. Girls were exhausted but fought through it!
Lady Danes’ tour of the entire future 1A-1 West Conference ended tonight with a 50-23 loss at Mulberry. We are learning what league play will be all about, and I am so proud of the lessons these girls have learned in our big losses this season. Will pay off down the road!
