@GregLehman@AdamMeakins Totally get that, sneezing and coughing create compression and I know that flexion exercises can hurt people as well as extension exercises but I think doing heavy max rep DL’s and Squats etc is more dangerous than paddling. But I get your points!
@GregLehman@AdamMeakins The disc is just material, I get that but the original tweet was highlighting a primarily anterior chain applied stress which doesn’t cause “enough “ compression to cause a problem, which was my point! The disc doesn’t care what causes the compression but it cares how much.
@GregLehman@AdamMeakins Not sure I agree with that! Spinal flexion is not a problem its a human movement, it’s the conditions that exist during flexion to extension transition (and vice versa) that can be problematic! Spinal flexion under heavy posterior load can certainly be a big issue!
