Some feats are just on a whole nother level.
@HuskerSoftball Phenom played the last 3 months of the season while PREGNANT.
What an accomplishment, and congratulations to @jordybahl on being named the Daley Move Podcast Player of the Week….. and your pregnancy.
This past weekend South Jersey High School Football held its first true All Star Game in years!! And it was one man’s vision to make it happen. Congratulations Rod Boyd, you can take a breath now!

Awesome Max squat day yesterday hit 405 but stopped there because of time, very excited to prove myself this season and let all my hard work pay off‼️ @EHTFB_Eagles@CoachMove
Players,
If your coach moves you to a different position, don’t take it personally.
He’s probably not moving you away from the field, he’s trying to find the spot that gives you the best chance to get on it.
Trust the process. Compete.
Back at it in the weight room with the football guys after a long successful track season. Got my squat PR today of 365 LBS during the workout. Good to see heavy weight moving like this but, there’s still a long way to go.
@EHTFB_Eagles@CoachMove
Great max out squat day with the team stopped at 425 2.5x my body weight to keep myself healthy. The work that you don’t always see will show when I step on that field this year!!!! @EHTFB_Eagles@CoachMove
This player flew in from Alabama this weekend.
Something interesting happened.
Every time he made a bad swing...
he had something to say.
Every time he missed a ball...
he had an explanation.
Every time something went wrong...
he gave it attention.
But every time he smoked a line drive...
nothing.
No reaction.
No acknowledgment.
No credit.
After our session, we went to grab lunch.
And while we were talking, I asked him:
"Do you feel confident?"
He said:
"I don't know. I haven't played a game yet."
That answer stopped me.
Because he was waiting for a game to tell him how to feel about himself.
The truth is:
He wasn't his biggest fan.
He was his biggest critic.
And my coach at UCLA used to say:
"You cannot outperform your self-image."
If you spend all your time talking about what's wrong...
don't be surprised when you stop seeing what's right.
So I gave him one assignment:
The next time you do something well...
say it.
Out loud.
-Good swing.
-Good take.
-Good adjustment.
-Good barrel.
Most athletes are comfortable criticizing themselves.
Very few are comfortable encouraging themselves.
Try this tonight.
Every time you catch yourself saying something negative...
find one thing you did well and say it out loud.
You might discover the conversation holding you back isn't coming from a coach, a parent, or an opponent.
It's coming from you.
Thank you for reading,
Jermaine Curtis
P.S. - if you enjoyed this, share it. This tells me you want more content like this.
Detroit HC Dan Campbell might as well be talking about 7 on 7 and all that private training vs. air:
“I’m done with the hype of the pajama party in May... We’ll find out in training camp who’s who.”
Some of you guys are camping way too much.
If you don’t have a Division I offer after four camps, you don’t need four more camps.
You need an expectations adjustment.
The best coaching staffs I’ve been around had this in common:
They genuinely liked being around each other. They could laugh together, hang out together, and talk football for hours.
Yet they still respectfully disagree in a meeting and then walk out aligned. That kind of trust matters, and it’s not easy to build. It takes time and effort.
