We use "RBA".. Rim, ball, arc.. We've done different things over the years, designated get backs, above FT line extended, etc... Lots of ways to do it.. Consistently win the first three seconds on a change of possession and you'll be OK in transition regardless of scheme..

“We have rules: Protect basket…declare ball…load paint…find most dangerous guy…last guy down weak side…We turn over etc…sprint back…high level next play speed…separates good teams from great"

@3YearLetterman are you visiting Kenai, Alaska? I coach the local high school basketball team. If you're in town, would you be willing to share what it takes to become champions with them?
This has a chance to be a fun league! I just hope the PAC makes smart decisions going forward.. Geography matters.. Get Cal and Stanford over the next few years? UNLV when it gets out of debt? New Mexico if they commit to spending more? Nothing dumb like UConn! Cool league!
Cool question.. I think you need Brunson on the lane line.. not the rebounder Hart is but that gives him a chance to grab and go and he'd be harder to get a defender on for an outlet pass.
Coaches: I’ve been thinking about this all day and I’m not sure I have a good answer. How do you get your best player of the ball in this situation, especially on a missed free-throw? My NBA friends tell me there’s not enough practice time for these type of situations. Thoughts?
Imagine you play basketball in arenas all year long and then your last two games of the entire season are in a football stadium. With unique lighting, sight lines and depth perception, it seems shooting could be a challenge.
Athletics and athletic eligibility is a significant driver of academic success. Not to mention a reason for students to show up to school in the first place. Eliminating sports would cause more problems than it solves without making much of a dent in budget shortfalls. Brilliant!
Should schools in America run sports programs, or should local communities take them over like in parts of Europe?
This wouldn’t eliminate sports, just shift them to club systems and free up school resources for academics.
Would this be better for students?
@RadiusAthletics@Coach__Strick I find it humorous that the suggestion is almost always "add defenders!".. It's a big assumption to think the coach sharing a 30 second clip of a drill hasn't done exactly that.. I remember a time when certain accounts were unaware shell drills were often done live.
@Coach__Strick We've had issues shooting in arena style gyms over the years and on courts with college lines.. This year we didn't even talk about it or mention it really at all.. Shot the ball well.. Sometimes if you don't make it a deal it won't be a deal.. No right answer..
Online basketball is funny.. The trend of shot values and shot selection being new or modern ideas to offense is.... I mean it's framed in different, unique ways now, our team included... But taking good shots has always been a focus of offensive basketball.
@tres_tinkle3@LucasAguilar247 I don't ever get involved in this stuff but as an alum Barnes has to go, what are we doing @OregonState. He's shit. What has he done to deserve to stay in his position? The athletic department is a joke with this guy running it. That's not a pro Tinkle argument. Barnes is ass...
I think it's about the same (the purpose of the HCP system) but against the 18 you're going to have more glaring results, outliers where the scratch golfer gets wrecked by the 18 having a great day..
Playing 2+ sports is good.. Chicken or egg.. D1 athletes reach D1 because they played 2+ sports? or did D1 athletes play 2+ sports because they are the best athletes in the high school and are able to succeed at 2+ sports? Reality somewhere in the middle?
A sports specialization study at UCLA found that 88% of NCAA Division I athletes played an average of two to three sports growing up.
I spoke with a Sioux Falls athlete and trainer who have seen the direct impacts of the multi-sport experience.
