@216_CleFan_216@Gbush91 That’s probably half of their internal struggle with releasing him. Giving him enough time. Looking at other turnaround success stories. Then throwing in the 4th pick. It complicates decisions. Take away the 4th round pick spent and he’s probably gone.
@ShotClockTodd@fmauriocourt@Gbush91 Why do have to cuss and use vulgarity to make a point? I can have an opinion without attacking someone with vulgar rants. Geez.
@ShotClockTodd@fmauriocourt@Gbush91 All of them are under the gun. Stefanski, Berry, Depo. They have to produce. We’ve won 1 playoff game since 1999.
All I said is that the offense looked so so & the stats said so. Watching the game did too. We faced literally all KC backups. Should dominate even w/ vanilla plays
@ShotClockTodd@fmauriocourt@Gbush91 So are you saying you want the trend of 11-5, 8-9, 7-10 to continue? Because I heard a lot of coach speak saying “we have to be better. We have to coach better.” No coincidence a nearly whole new coaching staff was brought in or shuffled. That’s not me admitting it, it’s them.
@ShotClockTodd@fmauriocourt@Gbush91 I was expecting it to look better. Ever since year 1 I’ve heard a lot of complaints on Kev’s offense and play calling, justifiably so. Numerous post games he was apologizing for poor decisions and needing to coach better. Just don’t want to be hearing it again for the 4th year.
@ShotClockTodd@fmauriocourt@Gbush91 To a certain extent I agree. Wins losses in the preseason mean nothing. But saying overall stats & game play calling mean nothing…I wouldn’t go that far. I don’t think DTR is sitting at QB2 and Dobbs let go if things went poorly for him. Yesterday, to me the offense looked so-so
@DontShushMe12@Gbush91 Probably true. They will likely ride it out until his failures outweigh his value. The thing is 1 or 2 losses that come from missed kicks could potentially cost you a playoff spot in an extremely stacked AFC. Again, I hope he turns it around but my confidence level is real low.
@ryansrosicheeks@Gbush91 All fans & media can go by is what they’ve seen. The facts to this point are that he’s looked shaky w/ missed kicks & his confidence is low despite what he’s saying. You can see it in his body language. I want him to succeed but he’s making it harder each week missing more kicks.
@ryansrosicheeks@Gbush91 I don’t think this a complete fan “overreaction.” People who cover the team on a regular basis for many years are asking the same questions. It also doesn’t hurt to bring in competition to bring out the best in someone. The fact he was given no competition at all was a mistake.
@fmauriocourt@Gbush91 Kev should be more worried about his offense and play calling because overall yesterday it wasn’t very impressive, first, second or third team O. They were outgained by KC backups. Take away poor QB play/picks by KC’s first QB and it looks even worse.
@Roger1stCFalls@Gbush91 I questioned that myself when I saw the replay. Did he fake the injury/contact because he missed the kick? Because honestly I didn’t see much. It almost looked like he tried to hop over the player rolling on the ground. But you could see it in his face that he knew he missed it.
@Gbush91 So let me ask this question. If the Browns do decide to cut York, is he picked up immediately by another team or does he get through to the waiver wire?
What would happen in that scenario tells me what the rest of the league thinks about York vs their own kicking situations.
@Gbush91 Admitting to failure for an Ivy leaguer like Berry is like flunking a test. This York situation isn’t the whole test. OK so you missed a question on the test, realize now that it’s too late to go back & change your answer so refocus on getting the rest of the test questions right
@Gbush91 I think Stefanski has tried to give the benefit of the doubt to York because of his last experience with Carlson & he is always careful with his words, knowing he doesn’t pick the the players & Berry does. Berry has to see this isn’t working. If not, he’s too married to his picks
@Gbush91 Stubbornness to admit a 4th round pick may not work out to the point it could eventually cost you your job…it’s a 4th round pick. If you missed on it, move on. If l’m “all in” for the next couple of seasons, cutting a 4th rounder “optics” would be the least of my concerns.
@plewisbaseball@CoachMongero Exactly. There were kids playing with my 18 year old son (who BTW was on scholarship) that were 24-25 years old getting married or having children….still hanging on. And they were NOT pro prospects. Move on!!! Go play in a Roy Hobbs men’s league. Geez.
@plewisbaseball@CoachMongero Yep. Same w/ my son. Lost his biggest recruiting year (junior HS season) - kids now did way less on the field & got scholarships to bigger schools. Son then went to a program that played 24 year olds that should have long been out of eligibility. I have no sympathy for 24 yr olds
