2 questions I ask all recruits that I believe tell a lot about them
1) what are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
2) what are your goals and expectations for yourself as a freshmen coming into a college program?
Building something in Bison Land...
In year three, @BisonBallWV Coach Mike Finlan won 26 games, the third most wins EVER in a single season for Bethany. Some might say that's a pretty solid year, and @PAC_Athletics agrees

Prospective Student-Athletes and Current student athletes- becareful who you get advice from. That influencer or agent does not always have your best interest in mind when it comes to transferring. Your coach (college/club/high school) will generally be the most honest with you.

🚨 Sir Alex Ferguson on what still decides football in 2026:
🗣️ Ferguson: “People spend more time than ever talking about systems, structures, build-up shapes, inverted full-backs, and all of these modern ideas. And yes, the game has changed, no doubt about that. But football has never stopped being simple at its core.
At the highest level, when pressure is at its peak, tactics don’t score goals and they don’t clear danger in your box. Players do. The ones with courage, the ones who don’t hide, the ones who take responsibility when the game is tight and everything feels heavy.
At Manchester United, we always understood that. You don’t build great teams by overcomplicating things—you build them by creating winners. Players who hate losing more than they enjoy winning. That’s what carries you through difficult moments in a season.
I’ve seen matches where we were not the better tactical side, but we won because the mentality was stronger. We refused to accept defeat. Someone always stepped up, whether it was a tackle, a run, a goal, or just leadership in the dressing room.
Modern football will keep evolving, but one thing will never change. When everything is analysed, studied, and planned… it still comes down to individuals stepping up when it matters most. That’s what separates good teams from champions.”

"Especially when you're a youngster, and there's no, like, you can't change playing games. You can train all you want, you can do extra practice. Unless you play games, you're not getting better. Your touch might be a little bit better, but under pressure, you don't get better unless you play games"
Anyone have experience with Wilson Vanquish for their training balls? Bought one and it seems decent. Wondering if it’s worth it to buy 47 more @wilsonsoccer#ollegeSoccer
looking to buy multiple packs of soccer balls for the '26 season. Want to have about 48 total. Does anyone have any contacts with distributors who sell packs?
@D3Direct As a D3 coach, it would be nice to know the specific schools. But really all you should say is “I’ve taken X number of visits and I have X left. Some have offered but I’m still deciding. I would like to have my decision made by X (month).”
The Iron City Beer clock on the South Side of #Pittsburgh was officially lit tonight and it looks incredible. I captured a timelapse from across the river which I can't wait to share, but these images are some of my favorites of the night.
