Most high school athletes must understand:
20 yrs from now, no one will remember if you scored 20pts, scored 3 touchdowns etc. Everyone will remember how you treated others, teachers, staff+ the kind of person you were to your teammates, coaches + community.

Reality check about youth sports: go to a Senior Night/Day at the end of a high school season. There are far less Seniors still playing than there are kids on your current youth travel team. Just enjoy the ride. It ain’t that serious. The ones who LOVE IT will keep playing
