No source of communication is more important than phone. Call or text friends when you are thinking about them. Don't rely on socials or Discord as they will one day break, or just become unusable.

This is a reminder that if you want to keep friends close, you need to make sure that you have several sources to keep in touch. That way, if one source breaks or turns into a pile of Manticore poo, you have other places to communicate.

@Minty_Root It looks like they would have been fine at a hotel. They were not using a ton of space based on those pictures. It's hard to start at a convention center like that.

Am I still mad at @SixFlags for closing @SixFlagsDC? Yes. Do I have any plans to visit a Six Flags park in the future? No. They were wrong to close my home of 15 years while selling others. There are tons of great non-Six Flags parks I can enjoy.

@Step2Kissy @HarmonyPonyCon You are right that some of those early con memories are full of wonder. When your mind has never experienced something so magical as a bunch of Bronies getting together dressed as their favorite characters to spend 3 days talking about nothing but ponies.

It is so frustrating that bringing up the work I am doing for my game company will immediately cause friends and family to stop talking to me. Especially my family who will 100% ignore any comment I make about it. I have lost weeks of work because of it.

Months later, I am bummed that my top prize for the alpha party at Ciderfest went to some random person I did not invite to the party. A friend brought him. I really wanted a friend to win it.

I made some good mental notes while watching people play my game. Even stuff that people did not specifically complain about I saw as issues. I am also thinking about people who only got less than 10 points and thinking of ways to stop that.

I just got to my gate to leave Milwaukee. I miss my @PonyCiderfest friends. This is the con that I feel I have the most friends at. Heck. Even the GoHs wanted to hang out with me and said it's not a con without me there.
