- Hungarian voters voted on domestic issues without understanding that the stakes were global and geopolitical.
- The Fidesz government had manoeuvred Hungary onto the winning side of the emerging world order, alongside the US, China and Russia.
- The new government will pull Hungary back into the imploding EU at the very moment it falls apart and the emerging world order solidifies.
- This is terrible for Europe because Hungary could have been the “stepping stone” to re-enter the world order; this is what many of us were working on.
- The vulgar “Jacobinism” that is now emerging in Budapest risks becoming embedded and totalitarian because the effects of this bad strategic move will become obvious within weeks as first fuel runs out and then later Europe has food shortages.

Für Ungarn steht am Wochenende alles auf dem Spiel: entweder Unterwerfung unter Brüssel oder Freiheit und Souveränität. Denn: seit Jahren untergräbt die EU Kommission systematisch die Freiheit und Selbstbestimmung der Ungarn, droht mit Sanktionen und entzieht Gelder wo es nur geht. Gleichzeitig droht auch von aussen Gefahr, der Ukraine unter Selensky ist der ungarische Friedenskurs ein Dorn im Auge, Energieblockade und Drohungen sind fast an der Tagesordnungen. Ungarn ist im Zangengriff und Ungarn kämpft dabei längst nicht mehr nur für sich, sondern Ungarn kämpft für uns alle. Denn wenn sich am Wochenende in Ungarn der Wunschkandidat aus Brüssel durchsetzt, dann droht einer künftigen Regierung Kickl das gleiche. Deswegen gilt: "Sok szerencsét!" liebe Ungarn, viel Glück!
