ICT has become the backbone of innovation in this day and era. Girls in ICT have been and continued to be an important asset in tech, from discovering the first programming language to discovering black holes. We as a country must ensure that our girls continue to be educated.
And we have a winner!
It is #opendataday2021 today! The first prize for our Data Visualization Hackathon is Fatma Moshi and Emmanuela Muangirwa who analyzed the impact of pregnant mothers who are using ARVs on taking their infants for testing after giving birth.
The two also won the third prize which was an award to an all-female group. Fatma is a Data Scientist at @StanbicBankTZ while Emmanuela is a student at Ardhi University
The first place winners were awarded Sh. 900,000. The second, Sh 600,000 and the third, Sh 300,000.
We're deeply saddened with the news of the passing of the President of Tanzania, Dr John Pombe Magufuli. He was a notable leader, who fought for the rights of the less privileged and the country as a whole. Tanzania will forever remember you.
