I’m not an expert, so any advice is very welcome!!!
I usually start from black and paint while thinking about where the light comes from

Found something interesting 👀
#PicoBerry meshes had more vertices but fewer faces than #Meshy
Turns out it splits the mesh into parts (not perfect cuts), that’s why
Pretty useful for game dev

@rasiail991 Thanks! Nothing too crazy, I'm just trying a different approach where I paint details directly on the model first, then soften and blend them into the overall look.
The goal is to make it read well from a distance, with details being more secondary
I usually go from general to detail, but this time I tried a different approach.
I started with the details and will blend them into broader changes later.

#PicoBerry is by far the most accurate so far (based on the references).
Great textures, solid mesh. I’ll check the UVs next, but I like that some parts come already separated.

I’m continuing with the retopology of a character generated with #Meshy.
At this point, I’m not even sure if I’m saving time with AI… or just spending it fixing things 😅

#Meshy also has an animation system… not great, to be honest.
I’d still prefer doing animations by hand, but it might be useful for references.
I’ll test it later once I fix the weights so I can compare results

Still experimenting with my workflow.
Tried #Meshy for retopo… not great.
Then tested #Hi3D, is better, but still not quite there.
Re-applied textures with #Meshy and now jumping into Blender for manual fixes.

I think topology is one of the biggest challenges here.
The mesh can look good at first, but the topology is usually a mess… even after remeshing
Any suggestions? I’ll keep experimenting 🤔

some generations are straight up garbage, others are surprisingly decent 😅
You really have to iterate to get something that matches what you have in mind.

Honestly, I could’ve done that way earlier and saved a lot of time, but I wanted to push AI and see its limits.
Turns out you still need technical skills or you get stuck pretty fast.

Still iterating on my AI game dev workflow.
I'm building characters piece by piece (body, clothes, head...), but running into a scaling issue, even when I specify proportions, it just ignores them.
Kinda frustrating tbh 😅

I drew this character a while ago, so I tried to recreate it using the same visual style 🦊
It’s not as simple as drag & drop, I had to rebuild each piece one by one and use them as references for the final version
