When I became a governor, our hospitals was nothing to write home about and when the government sends money for things to be fixed, they will divert the money to personal accounts and the problem persists, so we developed a new strategy of partnering with agencies and private hospitals through funding.
This made the doctors angry hence the strike.
If you’re doing something good, those benefiting from it for being bad will agitate, if other ways of getting it right upset them we will not stop doing what is right, let them agitate.
Go to Anambra today, we have the highest teaching hospitals and nursing schools compared to any other state in Nigeria.

This is what leadership entails.
You can’t deny that a handful of people are benefiting from the coarse and corruption going on in Nigeria right now, imagine trying to stope those coarse, they will fight back and them fighting back does not mean something worse is about to happen, it means food is being taken away from their mouth and they need to fight to survive because they only thrive in coarse.

It was not about salary, it was not about pension, it was not about power, nor equipment...

Re: Tinubu files, Nigerians need to understand the US doesn't work like Nigeria. With all our flaws, we do have transparency and the rule of law. Not to say it is perfect, but it's strong.

So no, nobody paid the FBI or CIA or the judge or Trump to block the release of the files. The legal reason they are stating is valid (not saying it's accurate, but it is plausible): Release of the files would endanger lives -- likely either informant(s) or undercover agents. That's the question on the table before the judge now.

And since that is the question, what is the answer? Whose life or lives are they afraid will be threatened if this information comes out? Seeing that we're 33 years later, there's zero chance it's an undercover operative. So it's a snitch. A rat.

And who is the one fighting the release? Tinubu himself. So it stands to reason that the way he got out of the heroin trafficking charges back in 1993 was not just forfeiting the $460k, but also ratting out others in the network.

This was a big operation, reaching into the South East Asian underworld -- where people in power then are still in power now.

Not long after Tinubu left the US, the US attacked those networks. Was it based on information Tinubu provided? If so, then yes, releasing the files may well put his life in danger.

Did he turn over names of prominent Nigerians too? People who may back him now politically, unwittingly? That could prove fatal for him, too.

This is my working theory: BAT is a RAT.

Thinking about this a bit more, it is NOW VERY CLEAR that the Tinubu-APC "it was just a civil forfeiture case" dismissal NO LONGER HOLDS.

We now CLEARLY know that:

1. Tinubu was a subject of a U.S. CRIMINAL narcotics/money-laundering investigation involving the FBI & DEA.
(Source: Judge Howell, Greenspan v. EOUSA, Apr. 8, 2025)

2. U.S. investigators alleged probable cause that FUNDS CONTROLLED BY Tinubu were DRUG-TRAFFICKING PROCEEDS or involved in MONEY LAUNDERING.
(Source: IRS Agent Kevin Moss affidavit, cited by Judge Howell)

3. The forfeiture ended through a formal COMPROMISE SETTLEMENT. The U.S. kept $460,000; other seized funds were released.

4. Yet NO criminal prosecution of Tinubu followed in the public record.

5. The FBI/DEA still have investigative records concerning Tinubu, including requested FBI 302 interview records from 1992-93.

7. The FBI said parts of its explanation were too sensitive to fully disclose publicly, and Judge Howell has now granted its request to explain them PRIVATELY to the court. (Source: FBI filing, Aug. 20, 2026; Judge Howell order, Aug. 21, 2026)

So the issue is no longer whether the FORFEITURE proceeding was civil.

It was.

The unanswered question is:

WHAT HAPPENED ON THE CRIMINAL SIDE?

1. Tinubu was criminally investigated.

2. Tinubu's money was seized.

3. Investigators alleged drug-trafficking proceeds and money laundering.

4. Tinubu surrendered $460,000 through a negotiated COMPROMISE SETTLEMENT.

BUT NO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION FOLLOWED???

That makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. It is rather MOST LIKELY that:

TINUBU CUT A DEAL. And possibly not merely a financial deal.

Yes, the $460,000 settlement disposed of the CIVIL forfeiture case.

But what disposed of the CRIMINAL problem?

The increasingly OBVIOUS possibility is that Tinubu COOPERATED with U.S. law enforcement, supplied useful information, identified other people, assisted investigators or otherwise became valuable enough to receive favourable treatment.

This possibility becomes EVEN HARDER to casually wave away when, 30+ YEARS LATER, the FBI is still withholding responsive material under protections involving CONFIDENTIAL SOURCES, LAW-ENFORCEMENT METHODS and PHYSICAL SAFETY, while saying parts of its explanation are too sensitive to put on the public record.

Again, look at this sequence:

1. CRIMINAL NARCOTICS INVESTIGATION.

2. DRUG-PROCEEDS/MONEY-LAUNDERING ALLEGATIONS.

3. MONEY SEIZED.

4. $460,000 COMPROMISE SETTLEMENT.

5. NO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. 🚨

6. FBI/DEA INVESTIGATIVE RECORDS STILL EXIST.

7. CONFIDENTIAL-SOURCE PROTECTIONS.

8. LAW-ENFORCEMENT-METHOD PROTECTIONS.

9. PHYSICAL-SAFETY PROTECTIONS.

10. SECRET SUBMISSION TO A FEDERAL JUDGE.

So, again:

WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN "CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION TIED TO A HEROIN RING" AND "NO PROSECUTION"?

Was Tinubu simply lucky?

Or did Tinubu COOPERATE?

Did Tinubu give U.S. investigators information about the HEROIN ring?

Did Tinubu identify other HEROIN traffickers or people connected to the HEROIN operation?

Did Tinubu become more useful as a SOURCE than as a defendant?

And is THAT why no criminal prosecution of Tinubu followed?

Because "it was just a civil forfeiture case" does NOT answer that.

In February 2003, the U.S. FBI replied to an inquiry initiated by President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration through the Nigerian Police Force under Inspector-General Tafa Balogun.

Saying they have no case file against Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Today it's no longer in contention that he has a criminal case.
What is in contention is that same @FBI is making a case for Tinubu to not publish the files.
