@traversymedia Pretty much any genre for me, instrumental metal, classical, some form of electronic, or video game soundtracks are usually good too. As long as it doesn't have vocals and doesn't put me to sleep 😆

As for the ideas have you actually tried just sitting down with a pen and paper and writing anything that comes to mind? *Any ideas*; saying, "no that idea is dumb" only inhibits creativity. Sounds dumb but it works for me at least
