Granted, they'd suck due to being rushed out licensed slop, but the style fits enough where it sounds like an obvious choice. Not to mention the style could be reskinned into any series.
I'm surprised WarioWare clones weren't a common thing for licensed games. Yeah, it's not a massive series, but the concept sounds way easier than a fully fleshed tie-in game & can easily work across multiple franchises. I could see Muppets, SNL & Monty Python games working.
@NekoHappix Mixtape was published by Annapurna, which is owned by Larry Ellison's daughter. Really depends if your defenition of indie leans towards the publisher or studio side of things.
@poddtadre The legacy of The King's Speech is summarized by "The film that beat The Social Network for BP" & "The film who's director later made Cats". The Hurt Locker is only remembered for being the first women directed BP winner, great accomplishment, but I wish it was for a better film.
For a second I thought "y'know, Indiana Jones can probably be Kingdom Hearts IV, that's pretty cool!" until I remembered Indiana Jones has Nazis. I'm really stupid sometimes.
