Natalie Davis

Interested in solving human problems through technology (she/her). So this one time at boot camp...

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

One day I hope I can be half the engineer my rubber duck is 🙏🏾

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

Add Bulgarian split squats to things I can do unmodified. This one made me realize my confidence has not caught up with my strength but I DID THAT!!!

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

So I’m pretty strong, but my joints aren’t. Today I was able to do my reverse lunges unmodified and I’m ridiculously proud of that progress.

Remember when empathy for user reigned? Now the user isn’t human and we see the impact. Y’all are working 24/7, chatting with agents as you drive. Seems like the industry is in real trouble that no one talks about but what do I know, I’m just a soon defunct FE dev 🤷🏾‍♀️

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

@threepointone 👀

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

@bossnayamoss It’s just all a lot

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

We need an internet All Hands rn, someone drop the zoom link

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

@Dayhaysoos Fantastic 🥲

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

Fr, somebody hold my hand and tell me if I’m too worried or not worried enough

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

We need an internet All Hands rn, someone drop the zoom link

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

Just mentioned the dumpster fire of current events to a group of technologists and got laughed at with a round of ”idk what’s going on, ignorance is bliss” as if I’m silly for paying attention? Bet

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

I love that you don’t stop talking about your brother. I’m only 11 months into losing mine and people make me feel like they want me to be “over it”. And thank you for the tour, I caught you at home (Chicago) and it fed my soul. I wasn’t the lady you had to tell to hush tho!

[Kevín @KevOnStage]

I had a dream about my brother last night. In it he hugged me so tight it felt like he hugged me in real life.

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

@siawayforward I love the way you phrased this 🥰

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

What am I doing in terraform??? 🥲

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

@KoniKodes 🫶🏾

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

Shoutout to everyone who counted me out or wrote me off. I’m back up baby

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

So y’all believe that car flies fr?

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

And super shoutout to everyone who stayed down, you already knew

[Jason Lengstorf @jlengstorf]

CASTING CALL: I had a team drop out, so I need 2 devs on short notice to join an episode of Web Dev Challenge in Portland on Oct 21–23

TimescaleDB and sensor data challenge. if that sounds like fun, grab a friend and slide into my DMs ASAP! 💜

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

I’ve reached the stage where I’m just so curious to see how it all plays out. I’ve got so many theories and opinions but it won’t be too long before we know where this ends up. My strongest skill is surviving so I’ve set down the worry. But I’m so curious.

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

A wonderful thing about falling apart is the freedom to leave the pieces that don’t serve you where they lay when you decide to pull yourself together.

[Natalie Davis @codeFreedomRitr]

@engineering_bae And may your good wishes return to you tenfold 🥰
