The margay is one of nature's most fascinating wild cats: a miniature arboreal predator living in the rainforests of Central and South America. Resembling a small leopard, it moves with the grace of a squirrel and can descend trees headfirst thanks to its flexible ankles that
rotate 180 degrees. With its large eyes adapted for night vision and its soft, spotted coat, the margay retains an eternally kitten-like appearance. Unfortunately, its beauty has also made it vulnerable to the illegal pet and fur trade, leaving it more at risk in the wild.
Lately
1- Iโve always had an affinity towards existentialist authors and books. I recently re-read The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky after several years and got reminded once again how rare it is for a novel to be intellectually demanding and emotionally transcendent- a testament to Dostoevskyโs incomparable grasp of the human soul, sigh โจ
2- I love being captured through the female gaze(inserting the obvious fact here of how female photographers & cinematographers are far and few) and love this moody, lovely video @hiyadasari took of me in the van mid shoot one day not too long ago โจ
Japanese macaques have thick fur to help them withstand the cold, but they also huddle close and groom each other to stay warm and maintain social bonds. In the hot springs, mothers and infants are often seen together, with young mcaque clinging to their mums for comfort and care
