Lambda School subreddit private after numerous students shared their legit complaints - such as having the program entirely switched on us after being locked in. The consensus was significant. You’re only allowed to praise @LambdaSchool or you are censored. #lambdaschool#webdev
@jakewantulok @allie_rae_muses That’s not what the students are suing for...they are suing because Lambda completely changed their program by removing team leads, grading, forced students to mentor each other in place of the team leads (or leave), stopped taking attendance, etc. Read Lambda School subreddit 💯
Income share agreements (ISAs) are an incredibly powerful tool for financing postsecondary education. But with great power comes great responsibility, as @ED_Steiner and I explain in a new piece. 🧵to follow:

“When you have lies about the success, $30k of tuition, and you have fundamental misrepresentation about the alignment of incentives, students are gonna get duped.” - Alex Elson of the National Student Legal Defense Network on Lambda School #lambdaschool https://t.co/SrAfwVPkq6
What they don’t tell you is if you leave without finishing the program and get hired on your own, *even if it’s not a web dev job*, they will come for your money. I know someone hired as tech support that has to pay Lambda *fully* for half of the Web Dev program 🤦🏽♀️ #lambdaschool
Most schools make money regardless of whether or not their students succeed. Lambda School takes a different approach. We'll cover the cost of your upfront tuition and you'll pay us back 17% of your income for two years once you're earning an annual income of $50,000 or more.
Even the CA government agrees Lambda School deceives students. So much for marketing yourself as better than those predatory colleges with deceptive practices 🙄 https://t.co/LXfA5oVH6C #lambdaschool#webdev
I have been the biggest supporter of @LambdaSchool, but I find it really disheartening that I'm am being put on the hook for 30k when I'm not a software engineer. Did I miss something when they said dont pay anything until you're a software engineer...?
Lambda School - 30k for a “school” that suddenly stops grading you halfway through...then implements a program to do it when you leave 🤦🏽♀️ 30k and you can’t even get a real person to review your code. Imagine. #lambdaschool
