There are moments that we must decide if our short term income outweighs our long term values. Companies should be at the ready to support any black workers and POCs that decide to leave facebook. This is beyond tone deaf
This is why groups like @Zebras_Unite, @bbfounders, @indievc, @inflectioncomm, and so many more are trying to help people innovate while building REAL businesses.
I’ll say it again. I’m not anti-VC, I’m pro-revenue.
Diversity in companies are more important than ever. They NEED diversity in communications/marketing.
Getting it wrong right now with these tone-deaf marketing strategies. Y'all are losing customer loyalty by disregarding the issues your core audience are facing. Do better.
Not that people don't have the option to stay on brand but it is interesting to see who allows space in their tweeting to discuss George Floyd & those who talking about oh I dunno, JS closures like major social unrest is not going on as we speak/tweet.
@engineering_bae Same tips youd give to someone just starting out. start with what interests you and start building small projects. The process of learning, really learning is almost always in the doing

@Iam_ep_sr The time goes by super quick. one day at a time. You look up and all of a sudden what was once hard is easier. The learning never stops though.
