I continue to struggle with the promotion of clevidipine use over nicardipine unless there is a concern for fluid restriction. Just another article to remind us that sometimes the best drug is the one you’re familiar with!

Medical ICU patients who received 💉clevidipine did NOT achieve goal blood pressure faster than those receiving 💉nicardipine for hypertensive crisis. There was a 682% higher acquisition cost with clevidipine. #EMRx #TwitteRx
