This is only a conversation because Minor league athletics are being disguised as “amateur athletics” with school affiliations

Curious about this -Don’t you benefit from being part of a brotherhood with a place to go back to ? I just don’t see how the true mercenary route ends up being a lifetime win. I’m all for players maxing out earning power though.
