there is an epidemic of fake job listings that needs to be stamped out

companies have learned that web crawlers look for help wanted ads as a leading indicator, so HR depts oblige by posting fake ads

cruel to job seekers

a soft fraud

this is one of the best explanations of when an AI harness is

So many people are talking about this because it is what connects the AI to the rest of the world

And there are many levels of sophistication of this kind of harness

[Aaryan Kakad @aaryan_kakad]

@theo i have a much simpler explanation here:

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@profnoahfeldman she is one of the worst justices in history. Her opinions are absolutely illogical and it's a tragedy that she's gonna be there for decades.

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@danilocoding The real estate is dead, really cracks me up because the AI enhanced world is going to make real estate so incredibly valuable relative to other things because no amount of AI can generate a title deed to a piece of dirt

a problem for society when real estate gets too expensive

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@esrtweet if you make the tiniest mistake in BGP, bizarre things can happen that are quite mystifying and you can do a lot of damage

A Very poorly designed protocol trying to fix a fundamental flaw with the IP architecture

sadly IPv6 made it worse

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@ChrisMartzWX What an arrogant statement to make

While people were spending nearly every penny, they earned to live they should've been saving?

Meanwhile, they're tax dollars or being pissed away on foreign wars and incredibly wasteful projects?

System needs to be fixed, cheaters punished

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@danilocoding that you deny that there are different glandular types is a medical statement not supported by any empirical evidence or by general medical knowledge

I suggest you read "food is your best medicine" by Dr Bieler from 1965, it's still 50 years ahead of current nutritional medicine

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

having programmed for 56 years, my career is one pile of abandoned knowledge after another

A dozen languages have been dominant, and i had to shift operating systems at least 8 times

UI principles don't change much though, humans didn't change

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@RefinedPopulist some people change so much in the process of the relationship that they are unrecognizable compared to their old personality

Women usually change the most, as their true nature is often suppressed by group effects and timidness at the start

Quitting because of boredom is evil

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@TheEconomist The young people being unable to get on the housing ladder is going to cause a very bloody revolution

They are gonna have no sympathy for older people and wealthy who owned too many homes

Gonna get very ugly as jealousy gets inflamed

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

ai tools are good at De compiling code and it's going to mean a lot of legacy software that is put back to source and thus pirated

Huawei had already stolen all of Cisco's iOS, and then gone onto improve it, we will see many more Companies steal the IP of another

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@danilocoding skill in programming is not related to body type

Ectomorphs, Endomorphs, and Mesomorphs all can be skilled

Look at top pianists; most are in good shape

But Fats Waller and Oscar Peterson were not in good shape yet were supreme exponents in their field

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@danilocoding If a programmer claims to have never written a bug, they are lying

even the most careful and experienced programmer makes mistakes; large software products are among the most complex machines ever made, and errors will occur

hopefully quickly fixed

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@TheEconomist Jaguar has thrown away every advantage they had as a company with outstanding prior products

The mgt should be sacked, and someone brought in who understands the value of their design and technical history which was excellent at various points in time

Very sad to see implosion

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@TheEconomist Jaguar's new car is a disaster

Obviously a "design by committee product", it stirs no emotions, and will bomb

They could have made an EV version of the XKE, or one of their legacy products, and those would have been welcomed as fun, especially if they were well priced

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@jdegoes The cost of marketing a film often exceeds the production cost

so giant corporations stuff with woketards have been gatekeeping the funding of films

we will see some new studios form like Angel which are cater to a previously unserved audience

it definitely has been depraved

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@jdegoes The movie industry is dying because there are too many forms of entertainment, and the price of tickets has been growing too quickly

the cost of marketing a film has shot up, and that blocks indie films unless they can generate word of mouth

expensive actors draw audiences

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@theo The Microsoft ergonomic split keyboard, particularly the older wired ones is one of the best keyboards for people with hand injuries. It's the most natural position for your hands.

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@maria_rcks latex has a terrible syntax

Knuth was the dumbest genius that ever lived

he wrote his algo books using a non-existent language which ruined it

for some reason latex got embedded in academia

glad you are skipping it

[Coding Fiend @CodingFiend]

@danilocoding the hardest thing is to stay humble and compassionate when you are successful
