As a youth club director in small town Mississippi, I have no vested interest in an MLS franchise, but I do have a vested interest in nurturing real soccer culture in our country and it’s clear that MLS can never be that…thank you Seb for stating this so clearly 🔥
@iamrahstradamus So that one Atlanta episode where the barber takes Paper Boi along for shenanigans hits home huh??
That’s my go to episode if I wanna introduce someone to the show
BREAKING: Cuti Romero’s season with Tottenham, almost over as he’s gonna be out for 6-8 weeks.
Romero suffered a medial collateral ligament injury.
✅🇦🇷 He’s expected to be fit and available for the World Cup 2026 with Argentina. ❗️
@iamrahstradamus Man…great question, I lived in CLT during Cam’s prime & adopted them & my wife is from HTX, so I watch so much of these guys, 1st reaction is CJ, his floor seems higher but Bryce took much better care of the ball in clutch moments, after these playoffs his ceiling may be higher
Regarding the case that coaches in MLS don't get developed (e.g. Nancy).
It's not complicated.
When parity is enforced and all teams are basically the same with no huge disparities, a coach is practically rendered inconsequential.
When there is NO PARITY (such as in the rest of the world), coaches are forced to learn and have enormous dynamic range. There is HUGE tactical diversity, by necessity. The coach of Levante has to rack his brain when confronted with Real Madrid, which is different than a mid table team which is different than a relegation-threatened team.
Every week it's totally different chess games.
In MLS, it's merely the spinning of a roulette wheel. The dumbest coach can win, and the best coach can lose. It doesn't matter.
Not to mention over half the table makes the playoffs (considered "success"), no relegation, a SOFT docile fanbase, and a business model that doesn't depend on winning or sporting excellence, making weekly regular season games practically inconsequential.
Guys, in MLS more than anywhere else BY FAR, the coach is rendered practically irrelevant.
That's what happens with enforced parity and a truly inconsequential "competition".

Love this tweet and it reminds me of my favorite team to use against my boys in NCAA 04…the Manhattan Kansas dynamic duo of Michael Bishop and Darren Sproles
Knowing that my husband, and my friends' husbands, spend 60-80 hour weeks working their asses off, away from their kids, dealing with piles of bs at work, plus miserable commutes, so that half their paycheck can be handed over by people who hate them to other people who hate them and should not be here--and there is absolutely nothing you or anyone else can ever do about it.
If America is an idea, this is not the idea we signed up for.
Cindy Cone:
We need a mascot to engage the fanbase
🇸 : Great, we have one the most bad ass animals on the planet that represents USA, 7 ft wingspan, talons, apex predator…
C: Naa, what about a dog, everyone loves dogs
🇺🇸: … ok yeah a dog can be intimidating too I guess
@FIFABrit No way bro!
I love these Europa League Thanksgivings where your family tells you to turn on the football and you stick on Feyernoord vs Celtic and the old timers are a mixture of confused and angry 😂
@J_K_Wood Was just sitting here talking with family about what are we supposed to do with the people that are celebrating? How do we respond appropriately to that kind of evil?
@colin_gladman This is horrific & it shines spotlight liberal hypocrisy…support 🇺🇦 , protect refugees, criminal deserve rehabilitation, protect the “unhoused” …🇺🇦 refugee gets killed by homeless criminal walking the streets with FOURTEEN prior arrests…deafening silence …grace needs truth
