@jprutherford
Call me crazy but Toronto needs draft picks and what do the blues have.
STL Receives:
Austin Matthews
Toronto Receives:
3 - 1st Round Picks (11, 15, 31)
Pick a player
Pick a prospect
@ByNateTaylor looking at the Chiefs needs this offseason ALL PREMIER POSITIONS:
#1 WR 1v1 Man Beater
#1 TE Assuming TK retires
#1 RB someone with juice that can break one to the house
Blocking TE/Fullback
D-Line SOMEONE who can win a 1v1 while 95 is doubled/Tripled
@BenVerlander@FlippinBatsPod Simple solution-each team should have the same means (payroll, draft, international money etc.) to build a roster. Then it’s on the team to allocate assets. Right now Major markets don’t want to give up their deep pocket advantage & Smaller Markets cry wolf and don’t invest.
@dpbrugler my thoughts for Chiefs draft at 9 pre Free Agency Senior bowl and Combine
No goes for me:
DE - K Faulk - don’t like drafting potential with tape showing lack of compete
DT - P Woods - same as Faulk
WR - J Tyson - Injury history. Love everything else.
@KevinWheeler94 Totally agree on both. Competitive balance is out of control. MLB cant keep having the off season just be about who the big boys (LA, NY, BOS, etc.) will sign both FA and Amateur.
@KevinWheeler94 MLB needs to fix the competitive balance issue. Luxury tax is not working. Small Market cheap owners not spending, Big Markets are the spending too much. American players have a draft while foreign born players dont. It’s pure Chaos
@KevinWheeler94 It’s such a convoluted topic. So many factors.
All I know is I hate seeing franchise players leaving teams in general. I say the same thing for the NBA. The NFL wouldn’t be king if Allen and Mahomes played out original contract for small markets and went to NY, LA, BOS, CHI etc
@KevinWheeler94 Tarik Skubal situation is awful for a Tigers fan. Fans want homegrown superstars to root for and now he has agent who will push him to free agency for NY, BOS, or LA to bid on. Unless DET pays above market rate. So he’ll be traded and the cycle starts over. Sad
@KevinWheeler94 Totally agree and I don’t blame players for wanting the most money they can get. I’m saying it’s bad for fans to see their favorite players leave via free agency because owners who CAN & WONT spend on their players. Wish owners would stop playing the poor man’s card.
@RealMNchiefsfan
I’m not saying this will happen, but Wouldn’t it be funny if the chiefs rip off a 5-7 game win streak and finish the season with 10-12 wins. No team will want to face them.
@RealMNchiefsfan
After sleeping on it Chiefs are fine they are still a good team (not great). May still sneak into a wildcard
Same issues every game
- Lack of 1v1 winning Pass Rush
- WRs aren’t beating Man Coverage
- Mahomes missing deep
- OL drive killing penalties (JT74)
@RealMNchiefsfan
Chiefs have some really bad contracts:
Taylor can’t block / is a walking penalty highest 2025 OL cap hit
Smith good guard being paid elite money
Bolton can’t cover 5th largest LB contract in NFL
Jones paid like a DPOY best DT in league has regressed
@MitchSchwartz71 Haha also to say the quiet thing out loud… THE CHIEFS ARE NOT RUNNING THE BALL 20 TIMES A GAME.
Taylor wouldn’t be used the way he is in Indy.
@Nate_Tice sooooo pre-draft analysis of Jayden Daniel’s great arm, accurate, but man he takes a lot of bad hits. Sound like someone else who played in Washington?
@KevinWheeler94 Yeah terrible take by Kirk there. Most baseball fans knew when Ohtani was coming over he had the ability to be special. Stick to football buddy.
Also crazy to see that Toronto is top 5 in payroll and LA still has them beat by almost $100 million.
@Nate_Tice Basically a running back at wide receiver. People say Reid doesn’t run the ball enough and what would the offense look like with Jonathan Taylor? The answer is Reid wouldn’t use him. He wants to throw the ball and Rice is his answer. throw short YAC yards & extended running game
