Aside from the 2 highest paid hitters on the team (which is a major problem) the rest of the lineup grinded their dicks off against the best pitcher in the world. Genuinely encouraging stuff and it’s insane that we’re seeing better at bats from the guys you didn’t expect.
Brandon Valenzuela needs to stay on the roster when Alejandro Kirk returns.
I really don't care about "asset management" talk. The #BlueJays need to win as many baseball games as possible and Valenzuela clearly gives them the best chance to do that.
- Player snaps both ankles
- Pitcher snaps leg fielding ground ball
- Player hitting with vertigo
- Catcher breaks thumb on foul tip
- Outfielder hurts wrist on ball thrown from a fan
I don’t even know what to say anymore
Don’t look now, but the reigning AL Champions are sizzling.
The Blue Jays have won 11 of their last 15 after coming back from a 5-0 deficit in Baltimore last night. Vlad Guerrero Jr. delivered the clutch hit and Braydon Fisher locked down his first save:
#BlueJays50 with a Home Run in their first MLB game
Al Woods: April 7, 1977
Steve Staggs: July 1, 1977
J. P. Arencibia: August 7, 2010
Devon Travis: April 6, 2015
Davis Schneider: August 4, 2023
Charles McAdoo: Friday
The Toronto Blue Jays are in a playoff spot and 1 game below .500 with essentially an entire rotation on the IL, Addison Barger only having 22 ABs, their All Star Catcher out for 6+ weeks, and a player who openly played with vertigo for 3 weeks 😭😭
This is a good baseball team.
We have a follow up to this story...
Check this out: between innings, Eury Perez appeared to suffer an injury while stretching in the #Marlins' dugout.
He's been removed from the game. It comes an inning after his interaction with the #BlueJays' dugout.
