I am extremely honored to be named Mitchell Elementary’s 2022 Teacher of the Year. The climate and culture at Mitchell is truly unmatched! I am so grateful to have been selected by my incredible peers to represent our school. Go Sharks! 🦈
On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we take this moment to remember the fallen and those affected by that fateful day and its aftermath. @CofcSVO president Jabez Danielson led a vigil for campus to honor the lives lost on 9/11 and 13 service members killed recently in Afghanistan.
As we prepare to head back to campus, stay up to date on the new COVID restrictions for The College. Check out the Back on the Bricks website for the most up to date information and guidelines! https://t.co/60s63F2mtP
“Students need opportunities to perform. Performing means you have put in the work. I couldn’t show up to the cross-country race or go to my piano recital without putting in the work. Learning to put in the work is incredibly important.” —Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, Astronaut.
#CofC's Call Me MISTER program, which supports male minority students majoring in education who plan to become teachers, has received a $50,000 grant from Dominion Energy. https://t.co/5uPwLAFGCJ
Mine is an even tie between my @CofCFellows, Call Me MiSTER, and Teacher Leader experiences. All of these culminate to participating in the Minimally Adequate Panel we held in 2019. I am forever grateful for the experiences that shaped me into the teacher I am today!
Who was your favorite K-12 teacher? It's Teacher Appreciation Week, May 3-9, and we salute our CofC alumni in the teaching profession! If you love a teacher, please give $5 in their honor to CofC's School of Education, Health, and Human Performance: https://t.co/5mg4kJYVkm
All Teacher Education majors planning to complete their clinical practice internship in Spring 2022 are required to attend an application meeting next week. Please email Teresa McNerney ([email protected]) with any questions!
