Don't just use a blanket compliment because you can't think of something actually meaningful to say. Make it count, make it impactful and make it memorable.

Cool gamer moment? Cute
Do something intelligent and or productive? Cute
Simply exist? Cute

It is so overused nowadays. Every time I hear/read someone use it, I just sigh. If you want to compliment someone, COMPLIMENT them. Admire their sense of fashion, say something about their intelligence or creativity, say something about the nice thing they did.
