France's cost-of-living protests take a destructive turn as rioters torch a historic town hall, leaving much of the 143-year-old landmark in ruins.

In Limoges, flames engulf the building before its roof collapses. The local prefect calls the attack deliberate, while France's interior minister blames radical far-left groups for violence breaking out during demonstrations nationwide.
