Police charge 14 year-old in school threats case. Juvenile did cause public alarm by going to social media and referencing threats and actions. The juvenile is currently being held in RYDC on terroristic threat and disrupting operation of a public school charges.

Police make second arrest in Gwinnett teen’s murder.

Quaran Jamir Jackson, 18, of Gainesville, has been arrested on murder charges. Police obtained warrants on Jackson in connection to the April 27, 2024 shooting death of 16-year-old Jaishawn Overstreet.

Jaishawn Overstreet, 16-years-old, of Gwinnett County, died as a result of his injuries sustained in Saturday shooting.
