Memory stocks broke between August 15 and 25, and the month still cleared $799.5B, at a daily average of $25.8B against July's $25.6B. August 19 was the second-largest day on record. Perps pay on movement rather than direction, so a drawdown shows up here as volume rather than as an exit.
The equity book brings the equity calendar with it. Weekend volume has been 4.8% of the total since July 1, where two days in seven would be 28.6% if trading really ran around the clock. The average Saturday does $3.3B and the average Wednesday $38.7B.

Perps on stocks, commodities, FX and indices did $3.16T across 19 venues and 557 tickers over 36 weeks. Weekly volume ran from $6.5B at the start to $262.0B at the July peak, and August cleared $799.5B on its own, which annualizes to $9.6T.
Along the way the book stopped being a commodities book, and the record month turned out to be the month of the first big drawdown.
4/One venue took the growth.
Binance cleared 50.4% of every dollar in the window on its own, and DEX share fell from 51% in the first week to 12.8% in the last full one. That was not a change in mix: share fell inside each category too, and index products went from 98% DEX-cleared in February to 15% by August.
The one DEX that did grow has a single tenant. Hyperliquid HIP-3 did $542.8B, and 99.6% to 99.8% of it came from one deployer.
