Cracking hike up Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon) with friends.Β We passed up the South Ridge & descended the Watkins Path, taking in peaks of Y Lliwedd & Lliwedd Bach too.
Wildlife highlights were 4x chough and 3x ring ouzel (the mountain blackbird) with 2 male ouzels having a barny!

This cracking bird is the great spotted woodpecker Dendrocopos major, the most common of the 3 woodpecker species in Britain. If you're lucky you may see it in your garden visiting the bird feeder. In my story Benjamin Bumpkin and the Treasured Tree he tries to save the gr8 tree!
