HATERS HATE.
One of the wildest parts of being a head high school football coach is this:
Your work is on display in front of thousands… and everybody thinks they could do it better.
And in 2025?
Anyone can hide behind a screen, create a fake name, and fire off criticism with zero accountability. That’s the world we live in.
But here’s the truth I’ve learned over 30+ years:
If you have no haters, you’re probably not doing anything worth doing.
You don’t get criticized for being average.
You don’t get attacked for standing still.
You don’t get targeted when you’re invisible.
You get haters when you’re moving, building, leading, serving, and making an impact.
And from a faith standpoint?
I believe Satan goes after the people doing the MOST good.
The ones leading, loving, serving, building young men, and changing lives.
We’re under attack because the mission matters.
So I’m grateful for the haters.
They’re confirmation that the work is worth it.
Confirmation that the mission is bigger than the noise.
Confirmation that we’re pushing back darkness and trying to make a difference.
Haters hate.
Leaders lead.
And around here, we choose to Never Stop Getting Better.
