Fun fact: Santa Laura Montoya was born in Jerico in 1874 while my great grandfather was born in Jerico in 1891, they were both baptized in the same baptismal instrument.
Catedral Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes in Jerico, Antioquia.
Consecrated in 1969, it serves as the see of the Diocese of Jerico and member of the Vicariate of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes. It has a strong Devotion to Santa Laura Montoya, a Colombian saint from that town.
